Direct online payment can be made by MasterCard or Visa. One is not a considered a EurOMA member for a given year until full payment has been received and processed; confirmation e-mails are automatically sent to the member's inbox (check also Spam and Junk Mail folders...).
*PhD Students / Retired Members must first upload supporting documentation online (subject to EurOMA approval) as proof of status each year when applying / renewing in order to be eligible for free EurOMA membership (details below).
HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR LETTER OF PROOF:
To apply for free membership as a PhD Student or Retired Member, first click on the “Update your profile” link on the online form, and at the next step indicate that you are “Affiliated with a University / School”. This step will lead to a link to “Upload supporting documentation” (e.g., a PDF file of an official or signed letter). Once your proof of status is successfully uploaded and the profile saved, EurOMA is automatically notified to verify the documentation (this could take several days, so please be patient). Upon approval of the proof of status, the applicant receives a confirmation via e-mail. Complete the application form by selecting the appropriate free membership and paying any additional fees for that year (e.g., journal subscriptions). If you experience problems, e-mail euroma@eiasm.org.
NEW (as of 2014):
- PhD Students and Retired Members who also wish to subscribe to IJOPM can do this online once their membership status has been validated by EurOMA.
- PhD Students and Retired Members who wish to apply for both EurOMA and POMS memberships are requested to proceed via each association's website separately. (POMS website: http://www.poms.org)
Membership is for the calendar year (January 1 - December 31) regardless of when you join. To be eligible for the reduced EurOMA Annual Conference registration fees, you must be a fully-processed EurOMA member for that year prior to registering for the conference at the lower fees (valid proof of membership may be requested). The higher conference fees for non-members include EurOMA membership for the rest of the calendar year only (no journal included) and cannot be carried over to the following year.
For a VAT or other tax number to appear at the top of the invoice / receipt (i.e., below the postal address), include this info in your personal profile prior to applying online (see the REMINDER below). The member's name, e-mail, and postal address on the invoice / receipt will appear exactly as is in the profile, and may be used for any other subscriptions to which you are entitled or have ordered along with your annual EurOMA membership.
REMINDER: Please visit http://www.eiasm.org and use the 'My Profile' button at the top right to consult or create your personal profile. Enter your E-mail and Password in the login area provided, then click on LOGON. On the resulting page, you will be able to view and modify your profile as appropriate. It is up to you to check and update your profile.
NOTE: POMS (joint) membership includes a free subscription to its Production and Operations Management (POM) journal, whereas the International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM) is optional for EurOMA members (with preferred rates). The reduced joint fees apply to membership dues but not to journal subscriptions.
